The river is called "Rennies (or Rennie's) River", not Rennie's Mill River. Rennie's Mill was a mill that once was on the river and which gives Rennie's Mill Road its name, but the mill was not part of the river's name. Also added the Virginia River as a primary inflow. |

Water flows into the lake from the Rennies and Virginia Rivers, along with smaller streams, and then into the sea through Quidi Vidi harbour.
