Conical Peak of the Newberry Mountains is a landmark peak on the southeast perimeter of the north-south trending mountain range bordering the western bank of the south-flowing Colorado River.

Conical Peak is about 3 mi adjacent and southwest of Laughlin, Nevada. The peak is a prominent landmark from the surrounding Mohave Valley which extends mostly north-south on the eastern border of the Colorado River, but extends into the tri-state region of Nevada, California, and Arizona. Much of the Mohave Valley is made up of the Fort Mojave Indian Reservation, also in the three states, and the Topock Marsh, in Arizona.

In March 2006, the Bureau of Land Management determined and the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office concurred that Boundary Cone is eligible for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places as a property of traditional, religious, and cultural importance to several Indigenous tribes.[5]
