Sam Noakes (born 20 July 1997) is an English professional boxer who holds the British, Commonwealth and European lightweight titles.[1]

Professional career

Noakes turned professional in July 2019 signing a four year contract with promoter Frank Warren.[2] His first pro fight was in October 2019 at the Royal Albert Hall in London when he won via stoppage after opponent Chris Adaway quit on his stool before the final round.[3] He won the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title in November 2022 by defeating Calvin McCord by fourth round stoppage at the The O2 Arena in London.[4] In February 2024, he won the vacant British lightweight title by stopping Lewis Sylvester in the fourth round at the Copper Box Arena in London.[5] Noakes became European lightweight champion with a unanimous points victory over Frenchman Yvan Mendy in a fight for the vacant title held at the York Hall in London in April 2024.[6]
