Kayamozhi is a village 9km west of Thiruchendur in Thoothukudi District, Tamil Nadu, India.[1][2] Its history goes back to the 16th century as the capital of the old Vadapattu region.[3] The mean sea level is 15m (49ft). Its name means "a place with no deficit of language" (Khaya(cannot dry)+Mozhi(language)).
