==Cast==
Courtney Vance plays [[Private First Class]] Travis Holloway, an [[African American]] soldier in the [[United States]] [[United States Army|Army]] who is deployed to [[England]] during the [[World War II|Second World War]] and meets Maggie Leyland, a [[British Army|British]] officer's wife, played by Kerry Fox. After establishing a friendship, the two end up in an affair. After her husband Edward, played by Ciaran Hinds, redeploys back to England, it is found out that Edward was being unfaithful as well. When Edward discovers Maggie's affair, he accuses the Travis of [[rape|raping]] his wife, leading to a [[court-martial]]. Under pressure from her husband, Maggie testifies that Travis raped her, causing him to make an outburst warning her that he could hang for the charge. Travis is convicted, sentenced to death and hanged before [[D-Day]].
