ARYANKAVU- THE MOST PEACEFUL LAND IN KOLLAM KERALALink title

Aryankavu is a beautiful place 80 KM away from Kollam city and 85KM from Trivandrum. A great landscape blessed by God with Waterfalls,Milky streams,Temples,Churches,Hill resorts etc.

The place is situated in southern region of Kollam District on the way to Tamilnadu- National Highway 208. The Aryankavu Panchayat is the border of Kerala and Tamilnadu starting from the place called Kottavasal to the end at Kazhuthurutty.

Aryankavu is really peaceful without a police station and a crime rate less than 1%. The people belongs to Hindu and Christian community are more. Only few Muslim families are here in Arynakavu.The famous churches of the border town St:George Malanakaara Catholoic Church and St:Mary's Catholic church are ancient places of christian worship. The famous Ayyappan Temple-Sri Dharmasastha Temple in the centre of Aryankavu is in the history book of Kerala.

Aryankavu is well connected by road and railway. Kerala Transport Corporation buses are plying from most of the depots-Trivandrum,Kollam,Kottarakkara,Mavelikkara,Pathanamthitta,Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chenganacherry,Allappey,Punalur etc. Buses of Tamilnadu corporation also connects almost all towns of Kerala and Tamilnadu with Aryankavu. The new bus station under devolopment will add more importance for Aryankavu in the Travel Map of Kerala. The new bus stand have a specialty in national level , this is the only bus stand where an other state permit is not required for a Tamilnadu bus to enter into the state . This is only beacause of the location arrangement of Transport department in Aryankavu.Trains are connecting Aryankavu mainly with Kollam and cities of Tamilnadu.

Aryankavu is the land of herbs and spices.People here grow Cloves,Pepper,Nutmegs,Vanilla, Cinnamon,Ginge and Turmeric. The plantation crops are Tea,Rubber and Cashew nut but these are only in low level.The new generation of Aryankavu is highly educated and professionals in all sectors. People are working all around the globe in organisations like Worlbank to ISRO. The four schools which gives primary education to the pupil are Govt.LPS, St:Mary's UPS and St: Mary's HS and Holy Mass central school. A most gracing personality who give the first letters of mother tongue to most of the last generation kids in Aryankavu is Late Chinnamma Thomas- Ashatti Ammachi. She is there in the memory of all Aryankavites. Most of the professionals are from well known institute around India.

Among the last generation most of them are business men, Goverment employees and farmers. The main business in Aryankavu is related to Timber. But there are people who do business in Transporation, Banking,Spice Exporting and Civil Contract works. Few groups known well are St:Thomas Group-Transportation and Banking, Mattathil-Transporters, Palackal - Builders and Timbers etc. There is a famous studio who produce photos and videos for Aryanakavu Since last 25 years named Lakshmi digital studio. For Aryanakvites the hotels pet named Sayipinte Kada, Samikada,Sundaresan Hotel,Kattapana hotel,Arumogham and Bagothi Tea stall are unforgettable with pure kerala food and snacks. The population in Aryankavu are more non veggies compare to veggies.The main fish sellers since many years are unforgettable for Aryankavites-Chinnan, Mariya etc

The tourist spots here are Palaruvi Water Falls, Amabanadu Hill Resorts, Sandal Estate-Pandyanpara, 16 bow bridge, Railway tunnels,Kottavasal view Tower,Achankovil etc. The Palaruvi waterfalls is there in Indian Tourism map.It is favorite shooting location for film industry in south India.
