Jeff Hullinger is a news and sports anchor from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
He is currently working as the morning drive news anchor on B98.5 WSB-FM. He is also the afternoon drive news update anchor on News/Talk 750 WSB Radio.
Career
Hullinger began his career at KSL-TV in Salt Lake City. Then he went to KCNC-TV where he did weekend sports and hosted the Denver Broncos pre-game show.[1]. Jeff spent two years as ESPN TV's frontline College Football announcer including bowl games. He also called Men and Woman's NCAA College Basketball and the Arena League post season. Jeff was on Atlanta TV for 18 years as WAGA's weeknight sports anchor. He was also the radio voice of the Atlanta Falcons.In 1996, Hullinger anchored 8 hours of FOX 5's coverage of the Centennial Olympic Park bombing coverage[citation needed].
In 2006, Hullinger left a Tampa Bay TV station because his job "wasn't a good fit." [2] Jeff is currently on the B98.5 morning show with Steve McCoy and Vicky Locke.
Awards
Throughout his career. Jeff has won various awards:
- 16 time Emmy award winner. The most ever of any Atlanta Sports anchor.
- In 2008, he won two regional Edward R. Murrow's for news and reporting.
- 12 Best of Atlantas.
- Best play by play in Georgia as the voice of the Atlanta Falcons.
- Georgia Sportscaster of the Year
Personal Life and Degrees
Hullinger has a B.S. degree in Mass Communications<ref name="Jeff Hullinger's Bio on b985.com" He is Married with a boy and a girl.
