The beach at Cala Vedella sits at the end of a narrow mouthed cove which is surrounded by pine capped hills.<ref name="srok4">The Rough Guide to Ibiza & Formentera. Pub:Rough Guides, Penguin Group, 2003, ISBN 1-84353-063-5</ref> The northern side of the inlet finishes at the point of ''Es’ Torraci''. Just around from this point is a further small cove with slipways and rustic fisherman’s huts, worth visiting for the rock pools<ref name="srok5">Secret Beaches, Ibiza. Author: Robert Smith. The southern side also has a small cove that was once stood an illegal club/bar<ref name="srok5"/> which the authorities closed down. The main beach is a good size and depth, and is made of fine white sand and ideal for families with small children.<ref name="srok4"/> Behind the beach the small resort is made up of villas and low rise [[hotel]]s and apartments.<ref name="srok4"/> There is also a large range of services which include a selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The water is very shallow close to the beach and its crystal clear water slope very gently, perfect for bathing. To rocky sides to the cove are an ideal environment for [[snorkelling]].

The main beach has good access for the disabled, during the summer season the beach is patrolled by [[lifeguards]]. There are Loungers, [[parasols]] and [[Pedalo|Pedalo's]] which can be hired. Just of the beach many types of water sports can be enjoyed, such as snorkelling, [[water skiing]] and there is a [[Underwater diving|diving]] [[school]]. There are showers available on beach. There is parking for 250 cars including a small amount of allocated parking bays for disabled drivers displaying a [[Disabled parking permit|European blue badge]].

On the PM 803 at [[Sant Josep de sa Talaia]] take the road west towards [[Sant Antoni de Portmany|Sant Antoni]] after about a kilometre take the left hand turning directed by a [[Tourist sign|brown tourist sign]] to ''Cala Vedella''. Just follow the brown signs all the way to the resort.

Cala Vadella is a small cove and beach resort the western seaboard of the Spanish island of Ibiza.[1] The beach resort is in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia and is 14.5 miles (23.3 km)[2] west of the town of Ibiza town. The nearest village of Sant Josep de sa Talaia is 5.3 miles (8.5 km)[2] east of the beach resort. In 2012 Cala Vadella is one of the 12 blue flag[3] beaches on Ibiza.
