The International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Associations (IFALPA) is a worldwide association of national pilots' associations. IFALPA was founded in 1948 and is based in Montreal, Canada.

IFALPA is the global voice of professional pilots and provides representation, services and support in order to promote the highest level of aviation safety.^[1]^{[full citation needed]}

IFALPA works through committees who establish common positions on aviation safety matters and professional affairs. After approval by the annual IFALPA Conference (general assembly) these positions are laid down in IFALPA annexes mirroring ICAO annexes. IFALPA represents pilots at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and together with National member associations strives to implement IFALPA positions in international and national aviation legislation with the overall goal to implement aviation safety.

Various safety improvements now taken for granted stem from IFALPA initiatives.
