Mork sits in the chair Correcty and Richie Asks him some questions and Richie asks him if he has ever been to New York and tells Mork that it is just a little Earth Humor which promths Mork laughing. Mork asks Richie "what is that yellow stick" Richie tells Mork that it is a pencil and Humans use it in order to write Richie asks Mork what he uses and he says that he uses his finger. Richie ask Mork the question "What is the purpose on your visit to Earth" Mork tells him that he is on Earth trying to collect Spiceimen Richie asks him if he is going to take Hank Aron (the Presiddent) but Mork tells Richie that he would have to trade the entire planet just to do that so he tells him he needs someone average...humdrum Richie says he knows somebody that is humdrum and Mork asks him if he needs a hint and he and Richie start singing Blueberry Hill. Richie tells Mork that he cannot go but Mork tells him that he will bring him back in a instant & Richie ageers to go with him ans starts packing although When Richie ask Mork what people wear in ork he says Nothing. Mork shows him a picture of him and his girl and Richie can not tell which one is Mork so Mork tells himthat is the reason why Ork does not mess with clothes. Richie says that he needs a Camera some film and more paper and pencils because he cannot do with finger as Mork can. Richie starts to go upstairs and Richies tells him to make himself comfortable and that he has the TV that he broke and Mork point his finger to it and it starts to work again with Richie telling him that he has food there but Mork starts eating the Familys Flowers (which he says needs salt) on the table instead. Joanie, Marion & Howard Come though the kitchen door taking about the movie they saw that and as soon as Joanie takes off her Jacket All three of them notice Mork sitting on the couch eating the Familys Flowers and Watching TV and Marion tells Mork that "he must be a friend of "Richard's" and Howard introduces himself, Joaine and Marion (as Mrs. Cunningham) and Mork introduces himself and shakes Marion's hand. Marion says that Richie used to have suit like His (Mork) and Joaine says that they had feathers on it to which says that he likes feathers but he finds them fattening and Joaine called him another Ralph Malph (which is pretty inonic because When Mork came to the Cunningham's Richie Though it was Ralph pulling a prank on him). Howard tells Mork to make himself comfortable and Mork puts his head on the couch with his butt in the air which the Cunningham's find weird and Howard says he is going to trun off the TV set but right when he is about to trun it off Mork points his finger at it (while still in the arkward position on the couch) and damages it. Howard tells Richard to come down to the living room because he does not belivie what he is hearing and Richie comes downstairs and they start to ask where Mork came from and Howard starts to point his finger at him and all three of them (expect for Richie) are frozen and cannot move. Richie asks why he did what he did and Mork says it was because he (Howard) drew frist (which means he pointed his finger at him first). Richie asks Mork if Howard Joanie & Marion are going to be okay and he says they will be all right because the effects wear off sometime with Mork putting down Howards arm and saying that they do not have much time which makes Richie saying he will make sandwitch's for the trip. Richie ask Mork how long they will be gone and Mork says that they will be gone for 2,000 years and when Mork is not looking Richie makes a run for the kitchen door but Mork notices he is gone and trys to freeze him but instead he cloases the door and the fridgearder door missing him chance. Back at Arnolds Richie tells Fronzie in the Mens room that there is a spaceman (Mork) after him and Fronzie asks him what him and Richie says that it is because he is average and Fronzie replys with a "I told you". Richie tells Fronzie that this spaceman wants to take him in a spaceship and Fronziemke a joke saying "oh he wants to make sure you get a window seat" which makes Richie grab a hold of his jacket and tells him that he is not joking around and Fronzie tells him he has a hold of his jacket and Richie asks him what he is supposed to do and Fronzie tells him to let go of his jacket. Fronzie goes to check out the spaceman Mork and the scene shows Chachi Ralph & Postie sing a song with Al smiling and watching them and Mork comes into Arnolds while Richie and Fronzie come out of the restroom and suddenly Mork points his finger and Everybody is frozen (expect for Richie and Fonzie) which makes Fronzie say Whoa! and runs back into the men's restroom. Three Seconds later Fronzie comes out and Richie tells him about Mork's Finger and Fronzie introduces himself and Thinks he is challengeing him to a fight which Fronzie accepts. Mork says if He (Mork) wins Richie will go wth but if Fronzie wins he doe not have to go so Mork tells Richie to count to three and the fight stats and Mork freezes The Fonz causeing him to lose which means Richie will have to go with Mork but then just all hope is lost Richie sees Fonzie's thumb is moving just when He and Mork are about to leave Arnold's and Fronzie gets out of Fronzen position and Says Eyyy with both of his thumbs up. Mork & Fronzie put their thumbs together and a green light appears between the thumbs and Richie starts to write down what is going on then Mork points his finger to the jukebox and it truns on then Fronzie takes his head and bangs it against the jukebox and it turns off then Mork takes his Finger and points it to the jukebox and turns it off then fronzie who is leaning against the jukebox bangs his elbow on it and turn it off and the whole entire pattern is repeated until Richie tells them to stop and tells them that it is a draw and writes it down in his notebook
At Arnold's Drive-In, Richie remarks that he thinks he saw a flying saucer, but Fonzie, Ralph, Potsie and Chachi don't believe him. When Richie returns home, he finds his family has gone to the movies. Someone knocks on the door: a visitor dressed in red, with a triangle on his shirt and wearing a helmet. The visitor speaks very strangely and Richie thinks it is Ralph pulling a prank; instead, the visitor reveals himself as "Mork", an alien from the planet Ork.

Richie decides to interview Mork. When asked why he is visiting Earth, Mork tells him that he is trying to collect a "specimen". Richie asks him if he is going to take the President or maybe baseball star Hank Aaron; Mork says no, telling Richie that Ork would have to trade the entire planet for someone so famous. Instead, Mork claims he needs someone average and "humdrum": Richie himself. At first, Richie demurs, but when Mork tells him that he will bring him back in an "instant", Richie agrees to go. He heads upstairs to pack and tells Mork to make himself comfortable; the spaceman does, watching The Andy Griffith Show on the family TV set. ("I like that boy Opie," Mork remarks, "funny though, he has an Orkan name!" Opie was played by a young Ron Howard, who played Richie on Happy Days.) The movie over, Joanie, Marion and Howard return to the house and notice Mork sitting on the couch; thinking "he must be a friend of Richard's", they let Mork's odd behavior go for the moment, including the Orkan's predilection to "sit down" by lying face first on the couch with his backside in the air.

Howard and Mork get into a dispute when Mork seemingly damages the TV set by pointing his finger at it; Howard starts to point his finger at Mork and all three Cunninghams (except Richie) are frozen and cannot move. (Howard "drew first", Mork explains to Richie.) After being assured the "freezing" effects will eventually wear off, Richie ask Mork exactly how long they will be gone; the spaceman tells Richie it will be a mere 2,000 years in Earth time. When Mork is not looking, though, Richie makes a run for it, escaping to Arnold's.

Back at Arnold's, Richie tells Fonzie in the men's room that there is a spaceman after him. Fonzie is dubious, which causes Richie grab hold of Fonzie's jacket: a serious breach of "cool" protocol. Fonzie heads out of the rest room and sees the gang singing a song onstage and Al smiling and watching them; suddenly, Mork points his finger and everybody but Richie and Fonzie are frozen. Fonzie introduces himself, but things don't go well. ("Do you want to rumble [i.e. fight]?" Fonzie asks, to which Mork replies, "Ah, rhumba!" and hums a bit from West Side Story.) Mork says if he wins, Richie will go with him, but if Fonzie wins he does not have to go; the fight starts and is seemingly over in an instant as Mork freezes the Fonz with his all-powerful finger. Just when Mork is about to take Richie away, however, Fonzie gets out of the frozen position and says "Ayyy!" with both of his thumbs up.

The battle continues, as Mork and Fonzie put their thumbs together, causing a green light to appear between them. When Mork points his finger at the jukebox and turns it on, Fonzie (using his patented move) bangs on it to turn it off again; all the while, Richie writes the events down in his notebook. At one point, Mork strips Ralph to his underwear, then unfreezes him. Ralph, confused, runs out of Arnold's in terror. Fonzie snaps his fingers at a frozen waitress and they start to make out; Mork tries this on a blond girl, only to make Potsie walk to him instead ("I'll give you that one," Mork concedes). When Mork uses Al for "target practice", making the owner walk around like a robot and bumping into things, Fonzie does the same thing by snapping his fingers.

Finally, Mork says "no one can top this one": he will put his fingers together and make the whole building collapse. Not wanting to see anyone get hurt, Fonzie stops the Orkan and reluctantly admits defeat. Richie says he will go in peace, but Mork decides to take Fonzie back to Ork instead. When Richie tries to stop Mork from taking Fonzie, he suddenly wakes up on the family couch: it was all just a dream. When Richie mentions the flying saucer, Howard says it was actually a weather balloon. Again, the doorbell rings and Richie answers it; at the door is a man who resembles Mork, except he is speaking with a Southern accent and merely asking for directions. (In an ending shot for the summer 1978 rerun, it turns out the man really is Mork, and he made it seem like the entire event was a dream. He recounts the events to his superior Orson, who assigns him to modern-day 1978, leading up to the events of Mork and Mindy. This ending now airs in syndication.)
