List of Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes

This page lists episodes of the teen soap opera Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Most Degrassi: The Next Generation episode titles come from song names, mainly 80s songs, hinting at Degrassi's popularity in the 80s. In some cases, however, names of 90s songs have been used, such as "Jagged Little Pill" (an Alanis Morissette album), which dealt with ecstasy, and "Wannabe" (Spice Girls), which dealt with defining one's identity. In one case, an episode was named after an 80s band (Weddings, Parties, Anything), in which Craig's band has a gig at a wedding and in another case the episode that deals with sexuality is named after the name of an album (The Lexicon Of Love). Another exception is "Going Down The Road," named after a 1970 Canadian movie, in which a movie was filmed at Degrassi (the school).

Spike and Snake get to the hotel just in time to save Emma from an Internet predator. Spike wants to chide Emma, but more than anything is happy to have her baby back safe.

Ashley pretends to dispose of the pill, but secretly takes it.

In rebellion to this, Manny simply decides not to wear any underwear at all. This leads to a temporary breakup in Manny and Emma's friendship, as well as JT discovering he has feelings for Manny.

When Snake gets sick, Emma and Spike worry that it may be more serious.

Fortunately the cops and Jimmy show up in time before anything bad happens. At the end of the episode, Marco and Spinner confront each other after Spinner tells him that being gay is wrong and sick. He replies "So did the bashers". When Spinner asked why he is comparing him to the bigots who attacked him Marco simply replies "Why not?" and Spinner realises the error of his prejudice.
306	File:D306.jpg	Gangsta Gangsta	N.W.A	Sean, feeling neglected by Emma due to her stepdad Snake's cancer, starts hanging out with Jay and his group of thugs.
307	File:D307.jpg	Should I Stay or Should I Go	The Clash	Craig is having trouble telling Ashley that he loves her and she gets really upset with him and tells him that they should take a break, but after Craig seranades her with a song that he wrote about the way he feels about her she forgives him. While setting up for Paige's surprise party Ashley asks Craig if he wants to spend the night. At the party Craig tells Spinner and Ashley finds out, the couple argues and Craig angerly leaves the party. Manny notices he is upset and stops him outside on the sidewalk. Craig takes Manny home with him and they end up having sex. The next time Manny sees him at school she witnesses Ashley forgiving Craig and taking him back.

He tells Jimmy that he tricked Rick into thinking the paint trick was him. His friends, everyone at school, and his girlfriend Manny all hate him. Spinner gets drunk with Jay, and goes to the party for Jimmy. He then steals the keys to Joey's car, and is about to hit Jimmy. The next day he confesses to Ms. Hatzilakos, and she expels him and Jay. Meanwhile, Danny doesn't appreciate the fact that JT and Liberty are going out, which leads to a fight.

Her mother, now clean and sober, wants her to move back in but Ellie is still hurt about the times she angered and embarrassed her due to her drinking and refuses. Later at lunch with Marco, Alex and Jimmy discover that she has a knack for euchre and decides to gamble for rent money.

Spinner and Jay break into Degrassi and plan to steal. Spinner is about to burn down the school, but Jay talks him out of it. Spinner confronts Ms. Hatzilakos and plees to return to school, and she allows him to come back for summer school.

Manny is kicked out of her house for her desire to be an actress and for putting a down-payment on plastic surgery. Ellie joins Craig's band as the drummer to replace Spinner.
