The name "aïchiye" ( العيشية-aaychiya) goes back to the word "live", which is the symbol of comfortable living, and the life surrounded by the beauty of the picturesque nature, which is summarized by forests with "pine tide", which represents a green blanket that summarizes the splendor and beauty of Lebanon.

Its soil is fertile, which makes its inhabitants dependent on raising livestock, bees, chickens, and growing olives and fruits such as grapes, peaches and apricots ... The spring of the village contributes to the irrigation of cultivated lands. In the past ,the villagers planted tobacco, an agriculture very present in lebanon
