Sorry but I really don't think your recent experiments with that image are working out. The colour and lighting are very strange and distracting - especially the close-up. I know the original bust very well, and it's actually much more discretely lit and coloured than that. I think it best to leave the background as it was; the removal of backgound colour and detail does not make the image clearer - just rather spooky.
