I cannot find the Chicago Tribune in St. Louis, MO. Where did it go? Support of Bush, calling for removal of Democrats ?

The article currently reads:
"Although the Tribune has criticized the Bush administration's record on civil liberties, the environment, and many aspects of its foreign policy, it still supports his presidency while taking Democrats, such as Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, to task and calling for their removal from office."
Has the Trib called for the removal of other Democrats from office? BobShair (talk) 03:19, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

They've been calling for the removal of Todd Stroger since he passed a tax hike, so while the language looks out of date, it is an accurate statement. Of course, Stroger just lost his primary bid for reelection.Shsilver (talk) 03:25, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Steve Chapman

The link for Steve Chapman goes to a page for some British professor with the same name, not for the Tribune columnist. There is also another link at Instauration, as Stephen Chapman, that also ends up in the same wrong place. JmA (talk) 14:42, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A new external link template Template:ChicagoTribuneKeyword may be used to simplify the addition of an external link from the "External links" section of a Wikipedia article to the archive of related articles from the Chicago Tribune. In most cases, the template may simply be invoked with no parameters. For example, on page Michael Jordan

Section on Price

The price of the print edition now (July 2018) is $2.50 in the Chicago area. It's been that way for much of the year, as I recall. I have not found a source for the current price online, not even on the Tribune web site or in Robert Feder's blog.

I wonder whether it makes sense for the Wikipedia page to try to keep up. It seems to me that the price mentioned on the Wikipedia page will inevitably usually be out of date. M.boli (talk) 01:16, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

When you google-search the question of Tribune price, you get ancient information scraped from this section. The prices here are a year out of date, and this page likely will never keep up because reporting on Chicago media seems not to keep track of price increases any more. Not even the Tribune bothers to report its own price increases, as shown by searching Tribune newsstand price site:chicagotribune.com.
Somebody just edited this section to clarify the long-obsolete information. It's been 10 months since I proposed deleting the section. I will do it now. — M.boli (talk) 13:52, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

dirvisuals in infobox

The dirvisuals parameter in the Template:Infobox newspaper produces a warning when I show the page preview: this parameter is not recognized. But when I look at the the template documention, dirvisuals is there. Maybe the template itself needs to be updated to match the documentation? M.boli (talk) 18:26, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sample Front Page

Being this is election season and all, maybe a more neutral page from this year would be good? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 36.11.228.53 (talk) 04:12, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to Remove political Parameter from Infobox

For the reasons listed on the newspaper infobox template's talk page, I propose that the "political" parameter be removed from the infobox in this article. Squideshi (talk) 19:19, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's been 27 days since this proposal was made, and no objections have been raised; so the parameter has been removed. Squideshi (talk) 15:17, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
