His honors minor was in biology. After working in both the private and public sectors, he obtained a Juris Doctor degree from a top ranked law school and practiced law for over 38 years primarily in civil trial, business/corporate, property and contract law. He has been a member of a university institute, an officer, including president, of professional associations, an editor-in-chief of a professional periodical, a senior partner in a top ten city law firm, a member of a state law revision committee, a Special Assistant Attorney General, has represented clients in multimillion dollar matters, and has taught professionals and college students.
