In 2005, while in his high school, Innocent joined a team that created www.HiPipo.com, the first ever East African society and entertainment platform. Initially it mostly featured lifestyle, music, news, gossip, reviews, commentary and all round information on the various figures and events on the Ugandan and East African entertainment scene.

The project was later expanded into HiPipo Music Awards that cover the whole of Africa.[7][8] The HiPipo Music Awards were graced by The President Of Burundi, Pierre Nkuruziza in 2019 when he received HiPipo Music Awards winner for Africa Fans’ Favorite Fresh Talent – Natacha La Boss at state house.[9]

Innocent and his partners took HiPipo in additional directions, encompassing areas turning into the HiPipo Foundation, and started the ‘Include Everyone’ program, which is aimed at transforming the lives of billions around the globe through availing them access to secure digital financial services, enabling them to become part of the global economy and fulfil the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals geared towards 100% financial inclusion of the world’s population.

To that end, and overtime, Innocent and the HiPipo Foundation have cemented numerous partnerships, including with the Gates Foundation through the LevelOne ProjectCrosslake Tech, ModusBox and the Mojaloop Foundation. As of December 2020 Innocent has been elected as Co-Chair of the latter’s Community Council.

Again spearheaded by Innocent, and as part of its advocacy push, the HiPipo Foundation has created a number of showcase initiatives and awards revolving around the creation and uptake of digital financial services and FinTech solutions in Uganda, and Africa.
