  • San Francisco traded its first-round selection, third-round JC-2A selection, 2021 first-round selection (12th overall) and a 2023 first-round selection to Miami in exchange for a 2021 first-round selection (3rd overall).[31]
  • San Francisco traded its sixth-round selection to the New York Jets in exchange for 2021 seventh round selection (No. 230) and defensive end Jordan Willis.[32]
  • San Francisco received a sixth-round selection and a 2023 seventh-round selection from the Denver Broncos in exchange for linebacker Jonas Griffith and a seventh-round selection.[33]
  • San Francisco received third-round selections in 2022 and 2023 as compensation when offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel was hired by the Miami Dolphins as head coach.[34]

Regular season

Zeitplan

On May 4, the NFL announced that the 49ers will play the Arizona Cardinals during Week 11 on November 21 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, as part of the league's International Series. The game will kickoff at 6:15 p.m. MST/5:15 p.m. PST, and will be televised on ESPN, with the Cardinals serving as the home team.[36]

The remainder of the 49ers' 2022 schedule was announced on May 12.[37]
