So your response is to delete my comment and then try to take credit for the suggestion yourself. That's incredibly insulting. No wonder the person was so angry at you.

No one mistreated anyone, you cannot attack other users (please read the link provided) what I did was to ask the question you wanted within the confines laid down by our policies (you may also have a valid point). But even correct questions must still be worded within our guidelines. What you (and the other user) did was to undermine your case, by leaping at the throats of other editos, you do not get wp:consensus[ that way.
