{{Vandal-m|JarlaxleArtemis}} was a persistently uncooperative editor who was banned from all Wikimedia projects. He now trolls and vandalizes articles and user pages. His disruption has progressed to the point that he has been globally banned from Wikimedia projects.

Since 2012, he has been particularly active vandalizing articles in the Israel-Palestine conflict area and should be considered one of the active [[WP:Vandalism|vandals]] and [[Wikipedia:Sockpuppet|sockpuppets]] in that area. He has also been particularly active in gender-related topics and controversies.

Since around 2012 (and continuing as of late 2021), JarlaxleArtemis can be identified by the following themes: Cross-wiki harassment and threats of death and violence; criticism of liberals, the far-left and SJWs; criticism of anything not involving two clearly defined genders; criticism of Islam and anything not supporting Israel and Judaism; and employing open proxies. JarlaxleArtemis uses anonymous IPs and throwaway sockpuppet accounts for activities on Wikipedia and has been known to use or create as many as a dozen in one day. Some of his sockpuppets may be [[Wikipedia:Sleeper accounts|sleeper accounts]] with a number of "good" edits.

*JarlaxleArtemis has used [[open proxies]] (particularly {{IPvandal|69.50.208.4}} to flood users with thousands of password reminder e-mails. He was able to do this because the MediaWiki software which powers Wikipedia was not configured at the time to limit the number of password requests (see [http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7078 Bug 7078]). This action has since been throttled down.

Administrators dealing with JarlaxleArtemis are advised not to publish their e-mail addresses if they do not know how to efficiently filter e-mail floods.

===Sockpuppets===
Editors or administrators who suspect that a vandal is JarlaxleArtemis can do the following:

* If you think the account may be a new sockpuppet or a [[Wikipedia:Sleeper accounts|sleeper account]], first look for a pattern of abusive edits in the editor's contributions list.
* If unsure, you may inquire on the editor's talk page as to whether they have edited previously as an Anonymous IP or using another account. This sometimes is enough to either stop him from using that account or to make a hostile reply that will confirm it. If an editor makes a polite denial, it may mean you are incorrect but should feel free to observe the editor's future edits.
* When reverting either a sockpuppet or Anonymous IP that you are pretty sure is JarlaxleArtemis, link to this page - [[Wikipedia:Long-term_abuse/JarlaxleArtemis]] - in the edit summary to help explain the revert and to help alert any administrative watchers as to what is happening.

He uses anonymous IPs from all around the world. While it can be easier to get these blocked, it is also easier for him to create them.<br>

Subject: Jarlaxle's harrassment and disruption by account creation

At Linuxbeak's request, I've looked up the IP address of the person who
has been spamming the new user log and [[Special:Listusers]] with
offensive usernames, often puerile attacks directed at Linuxbeak. Here's
the method I used:

*Used [[Special:Log/newusers]] to identify a single offensive username.
I looked up the IP address.
*Searched the recentchanges table for edits with that IP address. The
result was Jeremy Hanson.
*Searched for IP addresses with that username. The user was coming from
all over the 71.107.0.0/16 subnet.
*Searched for all account creations from that /16.
*Removed some of the entries that could have been false positives.
Hence in the log below, some of the rows are missing.

The first row below is a homograph, Psy%D1%81honaut in URL form. Row 19
is %DB%9E and row 20 is %E2%85%9D.
