Wow!

Just thought I'd stop by to say "Wow". I haven't been so active in recent months, but when I come back from time to tine I see all your great work on historical football topics. It is great to see someone relatively new working so diligently in this area and generating quality work. Cbl62 (talk) 16:55, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. BeanieFan11 (talk) 17:07, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is another one-game 1920s NFL player. I've tried various searches and can't find anything -- which is surprising since the Rochester papers is part of Newspapers.com. Let me know if you are able to find anything. Cbl62 (talk) 22:12, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Is this another mis-named article? His name was "Guy Twing Seeds", sometimes known as "Slippery Seeds". See here. Another PFR error? Should it be moved? Cbl62 (talk) 23:28, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Buck Saunders

Your edits suggest Saunders competed in 1912 for both the Cal football and rugby teams. In fact, there was only a rugby football team. Cal didn't field a gridiron football team from 1906–1914. See here (which is why we have no articles on Cal football teams during this time period). Can you please fix the inaccuracy? Cbl62 (talk) 21:12, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Peace Dove

Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, peoples rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension.
Happy Holidays. ―Buster7  07:32, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ahmed Al-Hemyari

I see that the user formerly known as Mohammed Ali Joke is at it at again at the Ahmed Al-Hemyari AfD. He tried fixing the !votes a couple of days ago and reported me to WP:AIV when I reverted it. Got banned himself though due to "One of the strangest de-facto self-reports I've seen so far" according to the admin :) I've reported his new account there, hopefully some admin will deal with him soon. Alvaldi (talk) Alvaldi (talk) 19:20, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's creative – if a discussion isn't going you're way, just change the votes and close it yourself as keep! Brilliant! :) BeanieFan11 (talk) 19:26, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Happy New Year and Happy New WikiCup! The 2023 competition has just begun and all article creators, expanders, improvers and reviewers are welcome to take part. Even if you are a novice editor you should be able to advance to at least the second round, improving your editing skills as you go. If you have not yet signed up, you can add your name here and the judges will set up your submissions page ready for you to take part. Any questions on the scoring, rules or anything else should be directed to one of the judges, or posted to the WikiCup talk page. Signups will close at the end of January, and the first round will end on 26 February; the 64 highest scorers at that time will move on to round 2. The judges for the WikiCup this year are: Sturmvogel 66 (talk · contribs · email) and Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs · email). Good luck! Instead of notifying you as the creator of the article since you recreated it from a redirect, Twinkle instead notified a blocked editor who created an earlier version of the article. I've no doubt you'll see the AfD notice on the article but just to do my due diligence I wanted to inform you that the article is being discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Orlando Guardians.
