Page merge without any discussion

Hello! I just undid the page merge you performed because there was 0 discussion on it that I could see. The page that you redirected's talk page is non-existent and the other talk page has no discussion. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:03, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm CAPTAIN RAJU. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Sigrid Ekehielm—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 21:26, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Naming conventions

Hello. I reverted some of the DEFAULTSORTs that you set.

A couple of them were for people with Chinese names. In China, family names precede given names. Also, family names usually have one syllable and given names usually have two. So Fu Qiping's family name, the primary name for sorting purposes, is Fu.

The others have Spanish names that appear to consist of a given name (GN) followed, in Spanish convention, by the father's last name (FLN) and the mother's last name (MLN). These are alphabetized as (FLN MLN, GN).

See WP:SUR for more information. Largoplazo (talk) 00:42, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Players Championship pages

Hey there!

I noticed you had started creating pages for Players championships this year. Since these are large and tedious data transfers from DartConnect, my proposition was to move these to a central page, namely Draft:2022 PDC Players Championship series which will be significantly easier to keep up to date with than importing the entire brackets. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide in this endeavor. I also recommend the use of Template:PDCFlag over pairing PDC Link with the flags.DLManiac (talk) 21:24, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey DLManiac, this looks good to me. It is a tedious process uploading every score and average onto the field of 128. I prefer this way to be honest. We can then add links to different season etc? Do you want me to follow up on this and start uploading details? GlenTheYid (talk) 08:00, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yep! I was thinking make 2022 PDC Players Championship 1 redirect to 2022 PDC Players Championship series#Players Championship 1 etc DLManiac (talk) 15:36, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi DLManiac, I like the idea of this. If you want to make that page live, I can start adding the information. We can then create the 2021/20/19 PDC Players Championship Series and adding the information and re-directs. I can get on this as soon as. GlenTheYid (talk) 17:37, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, thanks so much! That page is now live. 2021 is here Draft:2021 PDC Players Championship series - I started it a while back, I am just so short on time. DLManiac (talk) 18:05, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@DLManiac No problem mate. I have started updating the 2022 stats, and will move on to the 2021 ones after.

Check the format to see if you're cool with it? might be worth adding players who hits 9 darters? GlenTheYid (talk) 18:55, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello GlenTheYid! Your additions to Allen Batsford have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 22:06, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
