Andok's is a Filipino fast food chain that specializes in serving roast chicken, known locally as litson manok. Founded in the Philippines, it has locations across the country.
History
Leonardo "Sandy" Javier Jr., an entrepreneur and later a politician[1], founded the first Andok's branch on West Avenue in Quezon City in 1985. Initially, he faced challenges, having borrowed twelve chicks from an acquaintance of his mother, but sold only two of those chickens in his first attempt at the business. Eventually his stall in Quezon City expanded its daily inventory to 80 chickens.[2]
Over time, Andok's menu evolved to include a variety of dishes such as pork chop, sinigang, fried chicken, Bicol Express, and desserts. The business further expanded its presence beyond Metro Manila, opening more than 10 stores in the Visayas within two years.[2]
Leonardo "Sandy" Javier Jr.'s father, Leonardo Sr., was known by the nickname "Andok."[3]
