"Football fields"

I understand that you believe this is useful, but it's not. Firstly, Canadian football has a different field length, as do other codes of football, and secondly, even in the United States, people don't have the exact length of a football field (120 yards) measured because they don't have the end zone length memorized. We kindly ask you to stop inserting that. Jasper Deng (talk) 08:57, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't even a correct conversion. Please stop.--Jasper Deng (talk) 09:00, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Top of the morning,
Please clarify, I am confused.
Sincerely
LeKid LeKidFromAkron (talk) 09:03, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what there is to clarify. In the edit I linked, you somehow converted 330 ft (not even one football field) to two football fields. And in any case, we do not give conversions to "football fields" for the reasons I gave above.--Jasper Deng (talk) 09:04, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Jasper,
I see my mistake, sincerest apologies for this blunder. Can I get unbanned so I can fix it please
Sincerely,
LeKid LeKidFromAkron (talk) 09:07, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The instructions for requesting an unblock are in the block notice by User:Materialscientist below. You will need to promise to find some other way of contributing and to refrain from further inserting of "football field" conversion. Along with Materialscientist and @AntiDionysius:, I'm among three editors who have instructed you that it is not welcomed or appreciated. Sorry that your Wikipedia editing experience has begun like this, but this is a formal encyclopedia that requires maturity to edit and that includes understanding that not all of your ideas will fly here.--Jasper Deng (talk) 09:10, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Jasper,
I don't know who antidionisis is. Secondly I am confused as to your italicization of "three". Thirdly I don't appreciate my work being branded as vandalism, I feel thats disingenuous and an over-exaggeration.
With all due respect,
LeKid LeKidFromAkron (talk) 09:17, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't the one who said it's vandalism, and agree that it's not, because you did the edits in good faith; however, good faith edits can still be unwanted or disruptive and thus not allowed. Your edits have fallen squarely in the latter category. I'm not sure why you are confused about italicizing "three"; I did it to emphasize the number of editors who have told you to stop doing what you were doing before you got blocked. AntiDionysius is another editor who undid one of your edits.--Jasper Deng (talk) 09:21, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Did you get any notifications about other editors (myself included) undoing your changes? This should show who did it, and you may have noticed multiple people doing so. But even if you didn't, you can click "View history" on a page to find out why someone removed what you added. There you can find out who made specific changes and also the reason they provided (the edit summary). (There is more detailed information about page history if you're interested.) Notification: Blocked

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for Vandalism. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding {{unblock|your reason here}} below this notice. Materialscientist (talk) 09:01, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Materialscientist: I wouldn't characterize their edits as vandalism, per se, as they seem to be making the edits in good faith.--Jasper Deng (talk) 09:01, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello,
I watch a lot of science documentaries and they always use football fields as measurement, I noticed some articles do not have that, so I try and help :P,
sincerely,
LeKid LeKidFromAkron (talk) 09:02, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please read my comments above about how it is not helpful on Wikipedia. Sorry, you can't be inserting it.--Jasper Deng (talk) 09:03, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Jasper,
A football field is 100 yards. Everybody knows this. I do understand that some people could be confused, would it help if I clarify (american football fields)
Sincerely,
LeKid LeKidFromAkron (talk) 09:06, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No it's not. It's 120 yards, including the end zones. There's no way to be clear about whether you're including end zones or not without being overly verbose. Also, Wikipedia caters to international readers who often will think of a different code of football and thus a different length. Please also see MOS:UNITS.--Jasper Deng (talk) 09:08, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Jasper,
You make a great point, I will consider this.
Sincerely,
LeKid LeKidFromAkron (talk) 09:10, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

After reviewing all the reasons given by the ever patient Jasper, I have come to realize the error of my ways.
