Deewana

This book may help you to add more information on the article. I suggest you using more sources from newspapers and magazines, and not from website, especially like India Forums (this is a online forum and unreliable) and iDiva (except if they are interviews). See here for further information. --Nicholas Michael Halim (talk) 06:58, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your assistance. But actually, I'm not getting access to the book. It would be great if you can kindly add the required and suitable information in reference to that book. Thank you. : ) Sahajitbro (talk) 07:02, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You can create an account (for free) and then you will have an access. --Nicholas Michael Halim (talk) 07:24, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a plan to nominate Deewana for GA? I will try to expand it with Anupama Chopra's book I have given to you before. --Nicholas Michael Halim (talk) 04:39, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it'll be nice if you really nominate it for GA. Thanks in advance. :) Sahajitbro (talk) 05:45, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Meenakshi Seshadri.jpeg

Thanks for uploading File:Meenakshi Seshadri.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:09, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Divya pint.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free image of deceased person being used in a WP:DECORATIVE manner to illustrate a single entry in the article Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Non-free images aren't almost never allowed to be used to illustrate individual entries in list articles per WP:NFLISTS and there's nothing about this particular non-free use which satisfies WP:FREER or WP:NFC#CS. There is another non-free image of the subject being used for primary identification purposes in the main infobox of Divya Bharti and link from the list article to the subject's article is more than sufficient for Wikipedia's purposes. Moreover, the non-free use for this particular use states "Yes it can be replaced" which is pretty much a self-admission that FREER isn't being satisfied.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:17, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Sahajitbro. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:List of Bengali film actresses, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Drafts that have not been edited for six months may be deleted, so if you wish to retain the page, please edit it again or request that it be moved to your userspace.

If the page has already been deleted, you can request it be undeleted so you can continue working on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. FireflyBot (talk) 07:01, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Sahajitbro. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of Bengali film actresses".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 06:09, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ghajini (2008 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Happy Go Lucky.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 06:06, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Bangla, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 14:50, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Subhashree Ganguly still.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Control copyright icon Hello Sahajitbro! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source. You must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. Read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Our policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:09, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
