John Burris (born 1985) is a Republican former member of the Arkansas House of Representatives. [1][2][3][4]

Burris was elected to represent District 85 in 2008, covering Harrison and part of Boone County. Redistricting placed Burris's home in District 98, where, in the 2012 election, he succeeded incumbent Republican Donna Hutchinson who was term-limited. Burris was unopposed in the primary and general election.[5]

Burris served as House Minority Leader during the 2011 Regular Session and 2012 Fiscal Session. In 2104, he was a candidate for the Arkansas State Senate.[6][7]

Burris is a partner and lobbyist[8][9] at Capitol Advisors Group,[10] a Little Rock-based government relations, public affairs, and issue management firm.[11]

Burris was political director for Tom Cotton's 2014 U.S. Senate bid.[12][13]
