Rosa Luxemburg (March 5, 1870 - January 15, 1919) was a German politician and revolutionary.

Rosa Luxemburg was born in Lublin, now Poland. She was a leader of the German communist party during the Weimar republic. Together with Karl Liebknecht she was the leader of the "Spartakusbund" (spartacists).
