=== STUDENTS' GYMKHANA ===
The Students' Gymkhana is the students' organization of The LNMIIT, Jaipur. Established in 2006, the Gymkhana seeks to cultivate qualities of leadership amongst students to foster a corporate life and to advance the general cause of the student body of the student body of the Institute.It aims at promoting and developing organizational abilities in students. It has been successful over the years in evolving a well-informed, articulate and participatory student community life. It has been instrumental in identifying student issues and promoting discussion on them. It functions as the office for all election and nominations of students for gymkhana activities.

The Students' Gymkhana functions mainly through the Students' Senate, an elected representative body and the elected executives: the President, General Secretary Cultural Council, General Secretary Science and Technology Council, General Secretary Games and Sports Council. The Senate lays down the general guideline for the functions of the executives and their associated councils. The Senators elect their own Senate Convener.

The Cultural Council manages all the cultural clubs and activities in college, catering to the individual talents of the student body. The diverse range of clubs within the Cultural Council provides the student body with a platform to showcase their creativity in non-technical fields. The Cultural Council is headed by the General Secretary, along with the club coordinators, senators, and general body members. The Cultural Council is also responsible for organizing Vivacity, the annual cultural fest of LNMIIT, which is one of the largest cultural fests in the country.

The sports council mananges all the sports clubs in institute. It is responsible for managing all the institute teams in all sports. The council also takes all decisions with regards to sports infrastructure of institute and sports inventory.

Desportivos aims to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness among participants while fostering a spirit of healthy competition.

Desportivos has also expanded its appeal in recent years by organizing cultural concerts featuring prominent artists such as Darshan Raval and SARTEK.

The Science and Technology council aims at stimulating the technical mindset of students. The council has over the years nurtured a wide and diverse range of clubs which cater to all aspects of technical environment of the institute. The LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT), is an institute of higher learning that is a deemed university. It is located in Jaipur, India, on a 100-acre (40 ha) campus. The institute is a public-private partnership venture between the LNM Foundation and the Government of Rajasthan and operates as an autonomous non-profit organization. The Institute began its first academic session in July 2003 and was granted Deemed-to-be-University status by UGC in 2006 under the De-Novo category. All the engineering programs of the institute are approved by the AICTE. [2]

History

During a dinner hosted for Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal discussed plans to expand his Jaipur-based Lakshmi Niwas Mittal Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT).[3] In 2015, it was ranked as the third best private engineering college in the country by EDU-RAND.[4] As a deemed university, LNMIIT was jointly set up by the state government and the Lakshmi and Usha Mittal Foundation, as an autonomous non-profit organization. Mittal was also the part of the meeting where the delegation discussed the proposed 2012 Jaipur convention for NRIs from the state. The London chapter of the foundation volunteered to coordinate with (non-resident Indians (NRIs) across Europe for the 2012 convention. [5][6]

The institute began in 2003 with a branch, Communication and Computer Engineering (CCE), in a temporary campus in Jaipur.[7] Today, the institute operates out of its campus, about 10 km from the Jaipur-Agra Highway and 20 km from the heart of Jaipur City. The institute offers the following four disciplines:

  • Computer Science Engineering (CSE)
  • Mechanical Engineering (ME)

The institute infrastructure includes on-campus housing, hostels for boys and girls, sports facilities, shopping complex, studio apartments and faculty housing, an open-air theatre, lecture halls, labs, library, gym and LAN/WiFi connectivity in all hostels.

Recruitment Procedure:

The process involves the following steps: 1. Companies share the filled Job Announcement Form (JAF) and Job Description (JD). 2. The Placement Cell reviews the availability of the proposed slot and discusses the arrangements to be made with the company. 3. JD is shared with the students and interested students register with TPC for the company as per the pre decided eligibility. 4. Accumulated data is shared with the company. 5. A final date is mutually agreed upon by the TPC and the company for the campus recruitment drive.

  2. Direct Admission for Students Abroad (DASA): For foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) with a valid SAT score.
