Ann Marie Calhoun (born in Virginia, USA) is a female violinist of chinese ascent.

Early Life

Before dedicating herself completelly to her musical career, Ann Marie taught science and strings at the Woodberry Forest School, in Madison County, Virginia. According to her website, she has double majored in Biology.

Musical Career

Ann began taking violin lessons at the age of three. From 2001 to 2003 she was part of Old School Freight Train. In 2004, she recorded the violins on the album Stand Up for Dave Mathews Band. On the next year she toured Italy with the North African band Kantara. In 2006 she was invited to tour with the progressive rock band Jethro Tull as a guest soloist.
