==Biography== |

I'm an American male living in the State of Wisconsin. I grew up in the country of Zambia but have lived in the United States for some time now. I am a practicing Lutheran and consider myself as a political conservative. I also tend to vote for candidates rather than parties. I also pay attention to what's going on so I know who to vote for. I've voted in every Federal, state and local election in my area since 2002 (Strike that. I missed one last Tuesday >_<). |

Oh, and in case you looked at all of the user boxes, I do indeed speak Ubbi Dubbi, though Ubbi Dubbi is a dialect of the older children's language Ob. I speak Arb, (which is a simplification of Arpy Darpy, using a b instead of a p because it's easier to use). My folks spoke it when I was growing up to keep me from knowing what they were talking about. I picked it up very young. My Dad learned it in the 50's from a brother. I'm probably as close to a native speaker as you'll ever find. When my family gets together, we often speak it. My Dad is the fastest ob-language speaker I've ever heard. He'd give Bill Cosby a very hard run for his money. |

I've been a Wikipedia User since the middle of 2005. I'd known about Wikipedia for a while, but it wasn't until I had to do some basic curiousity based research one day that I discovered its great worth.
I love the idea of Wikipedia and hope to help out in adding to it in a constructive way. The way this collaborative effort works is fascinating.

Editing background and philosophy
I've got a strong background in a few things, but mainly on computer games, the Second World War, as well as general American and African history. Of course, being a fellow who loves information, I might be found anywhere around here, tweaking this and that. Oh... and I am occassionally inconsistant between American and British spellings. Some words might occasionally get a U. I grew up overseas.
I tend to be a grammar hound, though I only edit if I'm sure about my corrections. I also watch out for little things, formatting, clarity, spelling and the like and make those changes when I can. I'm also pretty active in the Clean-up community, though not officially.
The Name
- I'm a man, not a woman (the female version of the name would not end in a consonant).
- The name is fantastical, created when I first got on line back in the dark ages of 1997.
- I didn't steal it from Tolkien. I made it up, then read LotR. A lucky coincidence.
Items I've Added or Edited:
I'm at about 2000 edits now, a lot of them minor edits on the same page, and updates on the cleanup page, but it's still a pretty good tally all things considered.
