== About Habbo Hotel ==

Technically, the roots of Habbo Hotel are from both Hotelli Kultakala and Mobiles Disco and Hotelli Kultakala is Finnish Translation for Goldfish Hotel. Hotelli Kultakala was the basic concept of Habbo Hotel. Also in some hotels users call Tracks "TrakPaks".

Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Spebirabbits.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:T002-019.JPG. The copy called Image:T002-019.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. Channel Nine and ratings

Seven have won the 11 weeks of official ratings. The seven weeks as outlined in the channel nine article is an outdated fact. The line may as well be edited to say "seven is leading the year to date" unless you'd like to update the article week by week. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 124.168.11.47 (talk) 10:52, 13 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

New template

Hi. Thanks for responding to my question on the Wikipedia:Help_desk#New_template. Just to be clear, it is OK to not only make a new template, but also begin posting it on the talk pages of articles? Our template would indicate that our task force is working on the article. I've seen other people talk about posting information about new templates on the Village Pump before using them. But maybe that is just for publicity purposes, and not because they have to. Thanks for your help!!!--Mackabean 22:24, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you do need to discuss at the village pump about cleanup templates, and templates that are displayed on countless amounts of articles. You will have to ask someone else about which templates need to be discussed at the village pump first, because I am not entirely sure. But I also know that creating a template in your userspace (as a subpage) is free for you to do anytime (e.g. {{User:Spebi/Template}}). ~Spebi 23:26, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be many discussion topics from March all mixed up. If the page had had its newer discussions posted to the bottom of the page, this may have made my job easier. I apologise for my actions.
I noticed that you posted my mistake on the talk page. Why did you use the the {{userlinks}} template? It makes me look like I have vandalised the page (showing the block buttons and all) which is not what I have done. I have archived –Sebi ~ 21:09, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And what do you mean you have not clicked "save page"? –Sebi ~ 08:26, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My dear Spebi

Haa, marúawe, my dear Spebi!
Dear Spebi, I've spent several hours thinking about something to say to you that could accurately describe the joy your wonderful, beautiful gift gave to me... only to find out, sometimes it's best not to speak too much, and cherish a beautiful moment while it lasts. A moment like the one you've gifted me; one that will stick with me, and which shall draw a fond smile on my face every time I see your friendly virtual face.

It is only fair that I correspond to such kindness with a special token of the friendship that we now share. Only a few times I've gifted this, when for one reason or another I find myself specially moved, and let me tell you, sweetie, that you have moved me no end. Here's to a new, wonderful friend :) Haa, dear Spebi! :) Love, you, Phaedriel - 05:22, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. The raids were perpetrated by Encyclopedia Dramatica (I would show you the link, but the entire site has been whitelisted). There are no verifiable or reliable sources for this. The many IP vandals (who come off of sites like 4Chan and 7Chan to engage the editors for spite) who have edited it want it included to make a statement. Not that I do not want it included, but I see no way that it could be added using a reliable (and credible) source. Seicer (talk) (contribs) 06:08, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No prob, let me know if you have any other questions and etc. Seicer (talk) (contribs) 06:25, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for being bold

No need to apologise for being bold, if anything else is needed people can raise the issues again. Thanks for archiving! Cheers, Merzul 23:19, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, I have to disagree. Help:Archiving_a_talk_page says, "If possible it is better to archive talk pages during a lull in the discussion, as it is best to avoid archiving in the midst of an active discussion so that the full context of the discussion is together," and "you should leave current, ongoing discussions on the existing talk page." Archiving active discussions on a talk page is not helpful, and may force people to either move back some sections from the archive (as Merzul himself already did for one section,) or they may just undo the archiving entirely. Archiving a talk page for an article that is currently a featured article (as Atheism currently is) is the opposite of waiting for a "lull in the discussion." Many of the sections you had archived had received new comments just hours earlier. Next time I would recommend archiving only the conversations that appear to have stopped, and leave the ones that are currently active. Thanks. -- HiEv 00:07, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I apologise for my mistake. Long talk pages trigger the message at the top of the editing screen, and I do know how having a long talk page filled with old discussions can affect users viewing the page. I decided to archive, and the previous time I archived the page I received no comments on wrongly archiving active discussions, so I went ahead and archived. I hope you see this from my side and realise that I did not intend to archive active discussions, and my only intention was to archive and remove lagginess from the talk page. Thanks, –Sebi ~ 01:24, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, you have received a comment for wrongly archiving active discussions before, as seen above in Premature archiving of Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style. When you archive talk pages just be more careful about leaving active discussions and only archive the ones that are in a lull. Alternately, you could archive an active discussion and refactor it if you think it's gotten too long and complex to follow. I wasn't suggesting you did anything wrong on purpose, I'm just letting you know you need to be more careful in the future, especially when making large changes to pages. -- HiEv 03:29, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reply from David Kendall

Thank you, Spebi.

I'll read the policies and guidelines. Meanwhile, I posted some suggestions on the "talk page" for Economic Democracy that I hope will be appropriate and useful. I guess I won't know until I read the policies and guidelines.

One question I have in advance, however. I notice most all of the other writers for Wikipedia tend to use abstract nick names. Is anonymity a preference or a necessity? Should I change my "name"?

Thanks again for the encouragement.

David Kendall 04:05, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, David. Anonymity is definitely a preference at Wikipedia. Many users tend to choose a username that they can edit under without people knowing who they are in real life. I, myself chose "Spebi" as it was a nickname a friend had given me, even though it is quite similar to my real life name.

If you are concerned about your username revealing your real life self to others online, it is possible to change your username from your current username to an online alias, which is entirely up to you, as long as it follows the username policy. This process is called "renaming a user" and "usurping a user" to a different user name. Renaming is renaming your user account (keeping contributions, everything else) to a user account that is currently non-existent. Usurpation is renaming your user account to an already existing account (as long as the target account gives consent).

See Wikipedia:Changing username and Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations for more information and requests for your user account to be changed.

After reading both my messages, you will probably think that Wikipedia is governed by alot of policies and guidelines, and those who violate will be blocked from editing. It is quite easy to follow the policies and guidelines, and there aren't that many of them. And if you do happen to break a policy or a guideline, Wikipedia will never block you from reading or simply viewing Wikipedia.

As per usual, if you do require any future assistance, don't hesitate to contact me again, and I will respond.

Thanks, +spebi ~ 05:39, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is not common knowledge. Millions of people read Wikipedia every single day, and probably more than 3 quarters of those millions have not heard of Sunrise, let alone Samantha Armytage. Do not remove it again. It is not harming anyone by being there – infact it is doing good for the encyclopedia. Sebi [talk] 11:22, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

Thank you for participating in my RfA. It was successful, and I am now, may God have mercy on us all, an administrator. Look at all the new buttons! I had heard about 'protect,' 'block user,' and 'delete,' but no one told me about 'kill,' 'eject,' and 'purée.' I appreciate the trust the community has in me, and I'll try hard not to delete the main page or block Jimbo. -FisherQueen (Talk) 18:01, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures

Can you tell me how to upload a picture into an article? Thank you —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Skibofilms (talkcontribs).

Rudeness

Is it just me, or did you completely revert my post on the habbo hotel talk page? I really don't know how that is justifiable as "experimentation", I just wanted to point out that anyone who thinks they don't exist should go look at it when the new raids occur on the 7th and the 12th. Your attitude on this whole subject is that of a nazi denying the holocaust. Please, please just tell me what I did to justify you taking that down so I don't put it back up in spite of you. Guidance, Suggestions?

Hello again, Spebi:

My recent edits to the Ethanol fuel article seem to be objectionable to at least one individual. I was hoping you might take a look, and provide a critique and/or suggestions for how I can improve. When you have time, please see the "Land Use", "Alternatives", and "Economics" sections of this article, along with the bottom of the discussion page for that article.

I'm not asking you to back or support any views I've presented. Rather, I hope you will let me know if my edits are appropriate and/or useful, according to Wikipedia guidelines and policies. I don't know whether or not "Johnfos" is a Wikipedia administrator. But I don't want to find myself butting heads with someone who might "block" me from any further editing. My general impression is that Johnfos will very likely object to nearly any content in his article that challenges the production of ethanol fuel.

Please let me know if I'm out of line, so I can adjust accordingly. Thanks again for your help.

About Habbo Hotel

Technically, the roots of Habbo Hotel are from both Hotelli Kultakala and Mobiles Disco and Hotelli Kultakala is Finnish Translation for Goldfish Hotel. Hotelli Kultakala was the basic concept of Habbo Hotel. Also in some hotels users call Tracks "TrakPaks".
