Mountain Gateway Museum and Heritage Center, located in Old Fort, North Carolina, North Carolina,[1] promotes the understanding of regional history and culture and their relationship to the world at large, for the benefit of visitors and residents. Through museum services to historical organizations, collections management, interpretive exhibits, and public events, Mountain Gateway Museum and Heritage Center encourages the preservation and understanding of local, state, and regional history for future generations. It serves as the western branch of the North Carolina Museum of History.
