Pradakshina (Sanskrit), meaning circumambulation, is a ceremonial form of worship in the Hindu religion which consists of walking around in a 'circle' (Sanskrit: maṇḍala) in a temple.

The devotees walk around the sanctum sanctorum, the innermost chamber of the shrine housing the temple deity. Pradakshina is done in a clockwise direction for an odd rather than for an even number of times. Circumbulatory walking around the shrine, by keeping time, is a common form of Hindu prayer. The pathway made of stone around the shrine is called the pradakshina path.[1]

Pradakshina around the sacred fire is also a part of the Hindu marriage ceremony.[2]
