Yeshiva University Center for the Jewish Future

The Center for the Jewish Future at Yeshiva University convenes the intellectual resources of Yeshiva University with the goal of shaping, enriching, and inspiring the contemporary Jewish community. It consists of six divisions:

• The Max Stern Division of Communal Services (at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary) offers continuing education for rabbis, rebbetzins, and educators under the age of 40, as well as lay leaders.
• The Gertrude and Morris Bienenfeld Department of Rabbinic Services (Max Stern Division of Communal Services/Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary) provides training and placement services for rabbis and educators.
• The Community Initiative Division promotes education programming, outreach, dialogue, and tikkun olam.
• The Association of Modern Orthodox Day Schools provides educational services, advocates for member schools, and interfaces on their behalf with Yeshiva University faculty and students.
• The Leadership Training Division’s Quest (Quality Education Skills Training) program helps those involved with Jewish communal work to become more effective participants and leaders.
• The Research Division focuses on practical solutions to challenges such as infertility and organ donation. The division also includes the Torah U-Madda Project (including the Orthodox Forum, the Torah U-Madda Journal, and Ten Da’at: A Journal of Jewish Education) and hosts several independent organizations, including the Organization for the Resolution of Agunot (helping to prevent agunot or abandoned wives) and the Orthodox Caucus.

Tuvia Brander , now studying for the second consecutive year in Yeshivat Har Etzion, is preparing to take the reigns of the future of the Jewish people. After spending countless hours pouring over ancient Aramaic texts with his chavrusa (study partner), Yaakov Miller, Tuvia is gaining the necessary skills to become the future leader of Modern Orthodoxy throughout the world. Tuvia plans to model all high schools after his alma mater Boca Raton's Weinbaum Yeshiva High School and to make YU the capital of Judaism worldwide. "I cannnot wait for the day when I am King of the Jewish people sitting in my big fat office in Belfer Palace looking down at the rest of the world,"said Tuvia. Tuvia plans on dressing up as Yeshiva University this Purim and walk the streets of Meah Shearim.
