Super 10

Hi Ronan!

I saw you asked if anyone knew anything about the Super 10 competition that preceded the Super 12. I have an excellent book "10 Years of Super 12" which as well as covering the Super 12, also has a lot of info on the competitions that came before. Hi! First off, I'd hate to see you succumb to editcountits. I hope that you'll measure your contributions not by the quantity of your edits, but by the quality of them. If you're thinking of becoming an administrator in the future, I suggest signing up for admin coaching. This will pair you up with one or a few administrators who will help you get a better feel for certain administrative and policy-related tasks, among other things. Also, take a look at this list of standards some users have outlined as criterion they are looking for in a potential admin. I think you could be a great administrator in the future, but remember adminship is not that big a deal. With that, I'd be more than happy to nominate you for adminship somewhere down the line if, at a later date, you still feel that it'll enable you to become a more productive editor. Removal of sports logos

I see i'm not the only one angered by your removal of Logos from sport competition pages.

These images are not used for decorative purposes in most cases but as informative tools.

This debate has been had numerous times, and each time the consensus is that it is not fair use. By all means bring it up again at WP:FU, but you will be told the same as all before you.

Current Player project status 10% complete
A-League News The 2006-07 A-League season is now two rounds old, with the early front-runners being Queensland Roar and Melbourne Victory. Adelaide United won the Pre-Season Cup, defeating Central Coast Mariners 5-4 on penalties. Project News The Player project has been moved, overhauled and refined. It now is not limited to the 2005-06 player list. However, only 10% of articles are considered "complete", and hopefully we can get this figure to approach 100% by the end of the season. Major changes to the layout of the 2006-07 A-League season page have taken place recently, and an infobox created. A table for attendances, as well as top scorer etc. are now in place. All users are encouraged to update the scores for completed matches as they come in. Recently, Perth Glory F.C. was moved to Perth Glory FC after no objections were raised at the Wikiproject talk page. All links to the old page (including various templates) were changed. The project requires pictures of games and stadiums to help improve articles. Any pictures are much appreciated. The A-League Portal has been set up. Feel free to update the scores, and make sure you check out the selected article and picture each fortnight. The football (soccer) barnstar has recently became the official award of the Wikiproject. Feel free to hand it out to anyone you see making excellent contributions to all things A-League related. Since the last newsletter was distributed (on August 5, 2006), four new members have graced our ever-growing list: Wantok (talk · contribs), Ronan.evans (talk · contribs), Tiefighter (talk · contribs) and Mattythewhite (talk · contribs). If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. WikiProject Rugby union national team Improvement Drive

For the 2007 Rugby World Cup WikiProject Rugby union is launching an Improvement Drive for national rugby union teams; specifically those participating in the Rugby World Cup.

We need your help! Here is what you can do:

• Adopt a national rugby union team article and collaborate with other members to improve it.
• Find, create and upload free images that will help improve these articles.
• Copy-edit, reference, and expand articles when and where you can.
• Promote the project and encourage others to join.

The World Cup is fast approaching and these articles are going to get a lot more hits during the tournament. It would be great if we could have them at a high standard!
