Book at Bedtime is a long running radio programme on BBC Radio 4, broadcast each weekday evening at 10.45-11.00pm.
"Book at Bedtime offers fiction including modern classics, new works by leading writers and literature from around the world." Books are usually abridged and serialised each evening for two weeks, sometimes one and occasionally three, if it's a very long book. They are read by well-known actors.
Book at Bedtime is part of the BBC's Arts and Drama series. Other shows include Afternoon Play, Classic Serial, Friday Play, Book of the Week, Saturday Play, Afternoon Reading and Woman's Hour Drama.
