The Aztec Aquaplex, located on the San Diego State University (SDSU) campus in San Diego, California, USA. The facility is operated and managed by the Associated Students of San Diego State University, which provides passes for access.[2]

Intercollegiate sports

The SDSU Aztecs intercollegiate water polo, swimming and diving teams are based at the Aztec Aquaplex.[3]

Facilities

Constructed on the west side of campus, the site occupies a total of 125,000 square feet of usable space.[4][5] The facility is situated between Tony Gwynn Stadium, the SDSU Softball Stadium, the Aztec Tennis Center, three football practice fields and the SDSU Sports Deck.[6] The facility is also just behind the Aztec Athletics Center, which allows student-athletes easy access to some of the top training personnel and weightlifting facilities on the West Coast. In addition, Cox Arena is within walking distance.[7]

Swimming pools

The facility hosts three (3) swimming pools[8]:

50 meter Olympic-size pool;
7,500 square feet recreational pool;
20-person, hydrotherapy spa.

Services

Adjacent to the pools is a 4,985 square feet building complex with showers, locker rooms, restrooms, administrative offices, member services, storage and support facilities.[9]
