Mark Evans is a TV presenter and veterinary surgeon. He also works behind the camera as a programme producer. He is currently the chief vet [1] of the RSPCA [2].
TV career
His TV career started in 1990 when he complained about an item on TV-am that made fun of fat pets, and was invited as a guest on the show giving advice to the owner of an obese cat. He has since fronted over 1000 shows[3], including shows based around pets, gardens and vehicles.

Engineering
In 1999, Evans co-devised the globally successful workshop-based "Is Born" format for Discovery Networks Europe. Since then he has co-produced and presented ten series (listed below) that have achieved record breaking audiences for Discovery Home&Leisure (Now Discovery Real Time) in the UK. The shows are also transmitted in over 70 other countries around the world. Mark's workshop-based series are now Discovery Network International's most successful lifestyle format.

On 9 October 2007 Mark's new series, Wreck Rescue, started on Discovery Real Time. Wreck Rescue follows the restoration of 5 very different vehicles over 12 months.
