High FSH refers to elevated levels of follicle stimulating hormone in the blood. Depending on the degree of elevation it can indicated slightly impaired fertility, to overt menopause. It is typically measured on day three of a woman's cycle when the levels of estradiol (E2) and progesterone are at their cycle low.
