There is a new template, {{IPA-de}}, for indicating German pronunciations. Please use it instead of {{IPA}} or {{IPA2}} when showing the pronunciation of German words.

Notice Board

I am beginning to make crude translations of the German pages for the Bach Cantatas. Will someone proofread my work. I am using Babelfish as translator I just finished Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit and will be doing more later.--Ted-m (talk) 01:36, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

The article Rosa Luxemburg Foundation is the subject of a content dispute. An editor listed it for CSD, PROD, and is now about to take it to AfD if sources are not provided. As far as I can tell, there is extensive coverage in reliable sources, and the foundation makes a significant contribution to public dialogue in Germany and internationally, but as I cannot read German I am unable to evaluate the sources or add references. Assistance on the matter would be appreciated. Thanks, Mostlyharmless (talk) 08:27, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

The German article was listed as a possible candidate for deletion but they decided (with no "delete" votes) to keep it. He was on TV and the case was well-known. Saint|swithin 08:36, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

- Somebody has renamed Germanistics to German (studies), which doesn't really make sense, especially if the articles aren't merged.

I just wrote an article on Tawfiq Canaan, a Palestinian physician who married the daughter of a German importer and who wrote a number of articles on medicine and folklore in German, English and Arabic. I need help with the German names, which in the digital versions of his work are missing accents and characters.
