Lady Danville

Lady Danville (formerly known as Mikey G and Dan from Danville) is a Los Angeles based acoustic rock band that was formed in 2005, at UCLA.[2]

History

Michael Garner (aka Hot Mike) and Daniel Chang met at UCLA while auditioning for Awaken acappella; and subsequently all became members of the group. They began writing songs in 2005, and made their debut performance at UCLA's Spring Sing a year later as "Mikey G. and Dan from Danville." The duet won the Best Duet and Best Overall Entry awards.[1] Later in 2006, Matthew Frankel joined the band adding percussion and backing vocals to the duet. The new trio soon changed their name to "Lady Danville."

In 2007, the trio won the annual Star 98.7 Lounge Competition in Los Angeles with their song "Tired Magician."[1] In December 2007 the band released its first EP entitled "Lady Danville." They are currently in the process of writing a full-length album.
