Piotr Wróbel is a Polish-Canadian historian, an Associate Professor in the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts and Science of the University of Toronto, and a member of the Faculty at the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Trinity College in the University of Toronto.
He received his PhD at the University of Warsaw and taught at the University of Warsaw, at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Michigan State University at East Lansing, the University of California at Davis and at the University of Toronto. He also has been a visiting scholar at the Institute of European History at Mainz, at Humboldt University in Berlin, and at the Institute for Polish-Jewish Studies at Oxford.
Piotr Wróbel researched and taught Polish, German, Russian and Modern European history. His research focuses on the national minorities in East Europe.
He has authored or co-authored seven books and more than 75 articles published in Polish and English.
He serves on the advisory board of Polin: A Journal of Polish-Jewish Studies.
