Pictures

At this point I really don't care about the status of pictures I've uploaded before notation was standardized. Most are public domain; some are simply conversions of pictures others have uploaded. Given the cavalier picture deletion activities that have evidently occurred while I was on break, I don't feel too bad about this attitude either. - Hephaestos|§ 06:14, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hi Hephaestos, I was wondering about the copyright status of Image:Sumo.jpeg. It is tagged as public domain and comes from [1]. How do we know this is public domain? silsor 04:54, Mar 13, 2005 (UTC)

We know that works of the US federal government are PD, but what about random photos from a 1994 Fermilab poster that just happens to be on a .gov web site? I'm not trying to be difficult, just labeling images more accurately. silsor 15:14, Mar 13, 2005 (UTC)

I revered a minor vandalism ("fuck", twice) yesterday on Confederation. There was a vandalism on my page on fr: afterwards, "Yeah, right, I said fuck you" (minor too, obvious lack of imagination) signed with your signature on fr: - from an ip of course. Another user page, Oliezecat was edited the same way as mine, that is same text and your signature. So maybe it is unrelated with Confederation, that one might have been an honest run-of-the-mill vandal and not your Enemy ;D Didup 09:38, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

An article was posted by an anon at John Robinson (Wikipedia user). I cannot decide whether you posted it. Surely you would have known better than to put it in the (Main) namespace. And you know what, I wish I had some evidence that this place had ever been sued over fair use. Because I don't. I know there are a lot of assholes who sue on account of free advertising, but I haven't seen it here. (Then again I haven't been looking closely lately.)
