Nguyen

I want to delete those incorrect infomation from the Nguyen article.

This surname is not originally Chinese. So, there is no point to put some Chinese legends here. Plus, there is no way to prove the correctness of some unknown legends. People might have some misunderstandings that 40% Vietnamese are Chinese which is not true. Nguyen is a Vietnamese surname, NO Chinese.

This article is about Nguyen, a Vietnamese surname. So, there is no point to put some notable Ruan people here. List the notable Ruan people in a Ruan article, please. Notable Ruan people has nothing to do with Nguyen article. Ducdung (talk) 15:24, 7 April 2010 (UTC+8)

Reverting and changing the wording are two different actions. Applying strikeout over a users comment is also different from changing the wording. I'm not commenting here on whether the strikeout was or was not appropriate - I'm stating that your changing of a signed comment was innappropriate, see WP:TPO. Perhaps we could try clearing this [7] up without an enforcement request. You're claiming a BLP exemption to your 1RR parole on the grounds that the refs can't be read. Yes, you are wrong. Foreign language sources are acceptable, although English ones are preferred if available. See WP:NONENG. That said, in this case I agree that the source had to be stretched beyond breaking point to support the claims in the article. It's not a moot point. Foreign language sources are acceptable! That's long-standing Wikipedia policy. That the source also was misused is an independent problem. Interesting. So it is OK to use an opinion article that (amongst others) states that identifiable living persons as "lying, destroying data"? And calls 4 official inquiries into this as "rigged" and an NAS report "rigged" as well. In fact it is basically conspiracy talk - but don't let that disturb you - because it does tell us that Montford's book is way out in the fringes - since McIntyre most certainly won't agree with even 20% of the claims that this opinion article states that Montford's book tells us. --Kim D. How about this: try just reading Wikipedia for a change. I do that sometimes -- I have an interest in learning about obscure, remote locations, so I'll scan Google Earth for some remote island in the middle of the ocean, and invariably there will be a Wikipedia page on it, usually with photos. I can then spend hours following links describing the island's history and neighbors. It's amazing how much information is contained here. Whatever your interest, you can usually find something on it. Or, if that fails to keep your interest, you can always buy Plants vs Zombies, easily the most addicting game I've played in a long time. ;-) Anyway, good luck tomorrow.
