Lola Blanc

Kandice Melonakos (born December 20, 1987) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and model based in Los Angeles, California.

History

Kandice was born in Germany, raised in Michigan, and now resides in Hollywood, California. She began performing as a ventriloquist at the age of 9 and did so for several years, her performances including a routine at the Imperial Palace for the Shari Lewis Memorial Tribute in Las Vegas in 1999.[1] She moved to Los Angeles at age 17 to pursue music, also working as an actress,[2] model,[3] software model,[4] and showcase artist for en2go International Inc.[5][6] Kandice is currently working with a number of music producers.

Collaborations

Kandice has written songs with people such as Cisco Adler, Jonathan Sadoff of thenewno2, Cary Brothers, Jon Levine, and Damon Elliott. She plays the lead role in the Interpol music video "Lights",[7] and is featured in the Lifehouse music video "Halfway Gone," [8] the Bloc Party music video "Signs," [9] and the Fitz and the Tantrums video "Winds of Change," [10] among others.

Kandice wrote the song "Come Closer" for Suzie Rose, which was placed in season 3 of the CW's The Game.[11] Her dance song "I'm Alive," produced by Tolga Katas, was placed in the Kristin Cavallari and Rob Schneider movie, "Wild Cherry".[2][12] She also did background vocals on the soundtrack for Repo! The Genetic Opera.[2][13]
