Dan Roan is the Sports News Correspondent for BBC News.

Career

A graduate of Cambridge University, Roan joined the BBC's News Trainee scheme in 1998. He reported for Look North, Radio Humberside, North of Westminster, Breakfast News, News 24 and Working Lunch. He left the BBC to join Sky Sports News in 2003, becoming Chief News Reporter in 2007. In March 2010 Roan was appointed Sports Correspondent at BBC News, reporting for the One, Six and Ten o'clock News, The BBC News Channel, Radio4 Today programme, 5Live, and BBC Online. He has also presented the BBC Sportsweek programme.
