Media bearing this template are added to Category:Wikipedia files requiring renaming. If no suggestion is made for the new name, the media will be added to Category:Incomplete file renaming requests.

Usage: {{rename media|Capt. John Treasure Jones.jpg|typing error.}}

  • Do not include the "File:" prefix.
  • Remember to add the file extension (.jpg, .png, etc).
  • This is for media only. For galleries and templates, use {{move}}. For categories, see Wikipedia:Categories for discussion.
