Grover Musical Products, Inc., is an American manufacturer and distributor stringed instrument tuners — known as machine heads — for guitars, bass guitars, banjos, mandolins, dulcimers, ukeleles, and the like. Grover also manufactures and distributes violin pegs and bridges for five-string and tenor banjos. The company has four music divisions, companies that had been acquired: Trophy Music Co., Duplex Percussion Accessories, Grossman Music Corporation, and The Clevelander Drum Company. Grover's namesake was adopted in 1952 when it had acquired A.D. Grover & Son, founded by Albert Deane Grover and his son, Walter Grover.[1]

Acquisitions

  • In September of 1965, Grover acquired Oliver T. Knode Co. of Richmond, Virginia — manufacturer of banjo and guitar accessories.[2]
  • In Decembger of 1965, Grover acquired the Nick Lucas guitar pick line from Mills Music.[3]

Executives
