Freilichtbühne Loreley is an amphitheatre located in St. Goarshausen, Germany near the Lorelei rock. The venue, which opened in 1939, has 4,300 seats and 8,000 to 10,000 standing room. Since 1976 pop and rock concerts have also been held at Loreley. Notable performers include Metallica, Genesis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., Thin Lizzy, Joe Cocker, Eric Burdon and Gary Moore.
