Hi Lbbzman, I moved your copyright note to User:Williamo1 to the talk page. It's no big deal, but that way it shows up as a new message when Williamo checks in. Cheers. --Bookandcoffee 03:00, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks... Good catch. just noticed that. Lbbzman 03:00, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi
Hi, thanks for formatting the Tony Guida article. I was planning to do the editing myself but was sidetracked by applications and other schoolwork. Thank you for taking the time to edit it!
Until later.

Heh, thanks for the Barnstar. :-) --J. Nguyen 23:47, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
:Heh, thanks for correcting my error. The reason I got third is because of this article "Amarillo was the first city in Texas and the third in United States to install the council/manager form of government, Ward said." I don't know what to believe but I guess leave as fifth. --J. Nguyen 03:58, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
::Hmm, I'll do some more digging to see if I can find any other sources. You'd think that Ward, as the former city manager, would know. Lbbzman 14:00, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

"Cleanup" of heading style
You just edited the Ruth Riley article to remove the spaces below the headings. According to the MoS, "Spaces above and below headings are completely optional." Therefore, changing the article from one optional style to another serves no purpose. It actually has a negative effect, in that someone who's watching the article (in this instance, me) has to go through the numerous red paragraphs in the edit to see whether anything else was changed.

By the way, my personal preference is to put the space after the heading because, to my eye, it makes editing easier by visually separating the heading from the text. There seems to be enough diversity of opinion on that point that there's no reason to impose a uniform standard either way, though. JamesMLane t c 13:57, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

:JamesMLane, thanks for the heads up. I went through and edited several of these articles to remove the bold formatting of an external link that another user had placed there, and in doing so, I chose to have AWB make the spacing changes you mentioned. In the future, I'll leave that box unchecked. Thanks again, Lbbzman 14:46, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

::Thanks for your informative response. I'm unfamiliar with AWB. From what you say, I gather that it provides a ready option for its users to add or delete these spaces. If so, it seems to be designed in such a way as to facilitate edits that violate the MoS. I'm adding my thoughts to the discussion at Wikipedia talk:AutoWikiBrowser#Line breaks after section headings, where I discover with pleasure that I'm not a lone crackpot on this issue. :) JamesMLane t c 21:36, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Gotchi entry at Wikpedia
Could someone please explain to this author of the Wikipedia entry for 'Gotchi' why Wikipedia wizards are against neologisms?

The terms Wiki, Wikipedia, Wikipedians are all neologisms. To delete Gotchi would 'hoist Wikipedia by its own petard.' Look that up your Funk and Wagnells. Sometimes words are born. Gotchi is one. And it is useful and growing in usage.

Please let Gotchis live.

my CV:

and for some early early Web 2.0 Mashup (another neologism listed in Wikipedia), check my collabs:
