The 2013 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Antwerp, Belgium, from 30 September–6 October 2013 at Antwerp's Sports Palace.[1] Kōhei Uchimura won the men's all-around gold medal and finished the competition with four total medals. Simone Biles won the women's all-around title and also finished the competition with four medals.

Men's results

Individual all-around

The final was held on October 3.[2] Kōhei Uchimura won his fourth consecutive all-around world championship, outscoring silver medalist Ryohei Kato by 1.958 points. Uchimura became the first gymnast to win four world all-around titles. He posted the highest score on three of the six apparatuses.[3]

The final was held on October 5.[4] Japan's Kenzo Shirai became the first gymnast to perform a quadruple twist at the final of a major event; he won the gold medal.[5]

The final was held on October 4.[12] Simone Biles of the United States took gold, leading Kyla Ross, also of the United States, by a margin of 0.884. [13] 2010 World AA Champion Aliya Mustafina of Russia won the bronze medal.

The final was held on October 5.[14] Defending champion McKayla Maroney received 15.724 points and won the gold medal. Simone Biles won silver in this event.[15] The bronze medal was won by Hong Un Jong of North Korea, who is the 2008 Olympic Vault champion.[16]
